I actually assumed that Prussia was evangelic - from what they told me in school, it's pretty much Northern Germanyish area = evangelic, Southern = catholic :)
But since Prussia appears to have a religious faith while he is the Teutonic knight (see post-penis discussion with Hungary) I think it's plausible that he is catholic. Or he was, then decided that he shouldn't be anymore cause Luther sounds much more awesome, but he may still have some lingering respect for the pope. I'm a bit fuzzy in my head canon on that, in fact
