True, true. (I don't know why I didn't think of that; I just reread that strip maybe a week ago. *brain fart*) But yes, I suppose I was thinking public crying. I mean, you managed to have him outright bawling in front of people.
I love bastard Austria, and sometimes I think it's such a shame that he seems to lug this perpetual-uke stereotype around in the fandom. (Much like I lament the lack of megalomaniac, magnificent-bastard France, but that's another topic, I suppose.) He does seem to have calmed down a lot, once WWII comes around though--perhaps it was the loss of his empire and the rough times after WWI? And you're right about the ambiguous interaction with Prussia... I'm not even sure what my head-canon for that relationship is. I'm sure it's something complicated, hah.
